Can someone share with me what is a world-call Quality Management, Best practices? Additional question, How do we achieve quality and productivity?  I'm scheduled to present to our QM Head these questions and run-out of ideas already. hope you can help me.

Track and trace.....some sort of KPIs (key performance indicators)  if you're not tracking your quality bullets, you cannot improve

 

% failures

% rework (wrong package/wrong product, seal failures etc)

%borderline

%waste (non conforming product that can't be reworked)

 

Customer complaints and reasons for the complaint----everything may seem fine when product leaves, but customers will tell you if it's not what they expect or want

 

those sorts of things

 

Quality ties directly to productivity. If employees aren't well trained, quality suffers and consequently production does too. If production is rushed, quality suffers (obviously you need to be efficient to stay in business but some steps take what they take time wise)

 

Could process flows (where are raw materials stored and how relative to how they're needed)
